BRIEF

Our client for this project was looking for an overall character to the play spaces that were a natural look and feel, helping to connect children with their local environment. An underpinning of nature play i.e; engagement and interaction with natural elements, soils, plants, water allowing children to develop their senses, imagination and relationship with living things to compliment key personal, social and fun development elements were discussed with the client. All spaces, components, materials and plants were also to be child safe and compliant with Geelong Play Strategy 2012.

OUTCOME

A successful design that incorporates the elements of play and nature together in exposing the children to experience the local environment and as a result 'play' differently and more interactively.
